I have decided to write about a film director of my choice for this topic. I have chosen Christopher Edward Nolan. The reason I picked him is because of his uniqueness and very full-filling movie he has directed/created. He was born on July 30, 1970 in London. He went to literature school at University College London. He has directed multiple films such as Tenet, Interstellar and Dunkirk.
Interstellar is by far my favorite movie because it is very accurately written in regards to science and also the way it was filmed was above average. The style of screenplay, chosen character and setting were astronomically good that it captivated me and pulled me in every second. In the second film I really enjoyed, Dunkirk, there is hardly any dialogue but somehow it managed to tell a very good story. Nolan’s style of filming is by far the best out there today and I think he has been recognized with awards which are truly well deserved.
I think Nolan’s ideas when filming his main goal is to captivate his audience. Every film he has, it does not fail to give that ‘wow’ factor. They make you think outside the box.
One way I can relate or appreciate Nolan’s films is the fact they spark some ideas in you where you did not think possible. When I watched Interstellar, that’s were I decided on my future career path. I envisioned a place I would not have it if wasn’t for that film. I am very appreciative for that reason.
